Welcome to Woodberry Down
Woodberry Down is a private residential activity centre located in the historical seaside resort
of Lyme Regis in West Dorset, offering adventure activities to groups of students. In term time our customers are mainly school trips. At other times we welcome groups from all sorts of societies and associations, including foreign students wishing to glimpse English life in the South West as well as receiving formal lessons in English.
The Edwardian house is our family home which we enjoy sharing with others. All of our family are enthusiastically involved; each caring for a different aspect of our guests’ comfort. To keep prices down we offer hostel accommodation with separate landings for each group where six to eight students sleep in comfortable bunk-bedded dormitories. 
Our grounds, consisting of safe and private woodland and grassland, are used exclusively for our guests. At Woodberry Down we believe passionately in learning through interaction with the environment. Groups may choose between a full time activity programme tailored to meet the needs of your group but organised by our experienced staff, or use our premises as your base to explore the Lyme Regis area entirely by yourselves; or somewhere in between where we provide a few sessions.
